How Delta Chiropractic Eliminates Neck Pain | Chiropractor for Neck Pain in Rochester Hills, MI
Hi, I’m Dr. Justin Berlin, and I want to welcome you to Delta Chiropractic. In this walkthrough, we’re going to show you exactly what it’s like to become a new patient in our office—from your very first step through the door to the start of your care plan. Our goal is to help you feel confident, informed, and comfortable every step of the way.
Check-In and Initial Paperwork
When you arrive, our friendly front desk staff will greet you and get you started. If you haven’t already filled out your intake paperwork online, we’ll provide you with an iPad to complete it. This includes basic personal information, your health history, and details about what brings you in. We’ll also collect your insurance card and driver’s license so we can verify your coverage and make sure you clearly understand your benefits.
After check-in, you’ll take a brief seat in our reception area while we prepare for your consultation. Shortly after, Dr. Mark will come greet you and escort you to the exam and X-ray suite to begin uncovering the root cause of your neck pain or other health concerns.
Day One: Exam and Digital X-Rays
Dr. Mark will begin by reviewing your paperwork and conducting a detailed health history. This includes your main concern (commonly referred to as your chief complaint) as well as any related or secondary symptoms. We’ll talk about how long the issue has been going on, how it affects your life, and any underlying conditions we should be aware of.
At Delta Chiropractic, we stress that symptoms—like pain—are not the root problem. They are signals from the body pointing to a deeper cause. The purpose of Day One is to identify that cause. Here’s what our exam includes:
- Postural Analysis – We’ll evaluate how your body is compensating for pain or misalignment.
- Mobility Testing – We’ll assess how well your muscles, joints, and ligaments are functioning together.
- Orthopedic Testing – Helps identify which structures are contributing to your discomfort.
- Thermal Scan (Titron Scan) – Measures heat differentials along the spine, giving us an objective view of inflammation and nerve interference.
After the physical exam, you’ll move into our digital X-ray suite. We take images from the front and side of your spine to evaluate structure and alignment. These high-quality images allow us to map out exactly where the issues are and how best to treat them. Once we’ve collected everything, we’ll take time to analyze your scans thoroughly. That wraps up Day One!
